One of the possible sources for the financing of international terrorism comes from the drug trade. In Afghanistan la coltivazione del papavero da oppio, la trasformazione in eroina ed il successivo commercio della droga verso i mercati occidentali ha rappresentato e rappresenta una significativa fonte di reddito anche per le forze eversive che operano nel paese. Risorse che consentono ad Al Qaeda ed ai suoi fiancheggiatori di mantenere alta la tensione e ritardare il processo di stabilizzazione. Le Nazioni Unite, attraverso l’Ufficio contro la Droga ed il Crimine (UNODC), da anni sono impegnate a contrastare la produzione della droga afgana con risultati non sempre positivi per l’opposizione dei Signori della Guerra che nel paese controllano il territorio e gestiscono il commercio illecito. Attualmente le Nazioni Unite hanno perduto il controllo della produzione di oppio in Afghanistan da dove viene esportato il 90% della richiesta mondiale di oppiacei. Attività illecite che giorno dopo giorno consolidano i rapporti di connivenza dei Signori della Guerra con Al Qaeda e che assicurano consistenti interessi economici che coinvolgono anche personalità locali vicine al governo di Kabul, come il fratellastro del Presidente Karzai. Realtà che le Nazioni Unite stanno cercando di affrontare introducendo programmi agricoli alternativi per sostituire la produzione del papavero con coltivazioni lecite. Significativo un recente progetto che cerca di incoraggiare gli agricoltori afgani a passare alla coltivazione dello zafferano, una delle spezie più costose al mondo e di cui la sola Europa ne consuma circa 300 tonnellate ogni anno. Se si riuscisse a raggiungere l’obiettivo l’Afghanistan diventerebbe uno dei maggiori concorrenti dell’Iran nella produzione dello zafferano ed i contadini afgani potrebbero raddoppiare i loro redditi. Un ettaro di terreno coltivato a papaveri da oppio garantisce, infatti, dai 2.000 ai 3.500 Euro/anno mentre un’area di eguale superficie coltivata a zafferano può arrivare a 8.500 Euro/anno. Nell’area di Herat le forze militari italiane ed i “Provincial Reconstruction Team” hanno già avviato una fase sperimentale coinvolgendo alcuni agricoltori locali che sono già passati alla coltivazione dello zafferano. Molte, però, le difficoltà. Il processo evolutivo in corso, infatti, deve vincere la resistenza dei “potenti locali” che oggi traggono profitto dal commercio della droga e degli stessi agricoltori che coltivando oppio sono pagati in anticipo. Anche personalità della cultura afgana sono abbastanza scettiche sui possibili risultati, come ha recentemente esplicitato Ghulam Rasoul Samadi della Facoltà di Agraria dell'Università di Kabul. "Il mercato mondiale dello zafferano è molto minore di quello dell’oppio ed una realtà socio economica devastata quale quella afgana sicuramente è più favorevole al reddito immediato che l'oppio può garantire". Il quadro di situazione in prima approssimazione non sembra, quindi, favorire le iniziative orientate ad invogliare la popolazione agricola ad impegnarsi in productive activities other than cultivation of poppy and could, instead, trigger violent reactions of those who control the specific trade in Afghanistan, the warlords. Un’evoluzione alla quale i cittadini lecitamente guardano con perplessità e con smarrimento di fronte ad una mutazione dottrinale dell’Onorevole Fini che sembra anche dimenticare atti legislativi del recente passato di cui è stato protagonista. Un’altalena che lo vede un giorno “al di sopra delle parti” per poi presentarsi il giorno successivo come un vero e proprio leader di un nuovo movimento politico che ormai è un effettivo partito. Un leader di un gruppo di politici che si fanno chiamare “finiani” e di cui annuncia ufficialmente decisioni politiche fornendo la data e l’ora in cui qualcuno di costoro si dimetterà dalle cariche di governo ricoperte. Una terza carica dello Stato pronto a mutare di nuovo cavalcando un ruolo apartitico quando convocato dal Presidente della Repubblica per consultazioni attinenti all’incarico istituzionale ricoperto. Gli elettori italiani hanno buona ragione di essere smarriti e forse anche adirati quando vengono loro propinate verità che di fatto dimostrano di essere inconsistenti e comunque cancellate dagli eventi che producono.

Questo è l'articolo che apparso sui principali giornali locali on-line per la cerimonia di premiazione della Seconda Edizione del Concorso Fotografico "Opera dei Fiori" di Bolsena 2010.

BOLSENA -La seconda edizione del Concorso Fotografico "Opera dei Fiori" di Bolsena si è conclusa sabato 26 giugno con la premiazione dei vincitori.
Il Concorso Fotografico è parte di un progetto dell'Associazione  "Opera dei Fiori", nata qualche anno fa dall'incontro fra alcune delle persone più attive nella realizzazione dell'Infiorata del Corpus Domini, che fra le sue finalità si prefigge la valorizzazione e la conservazione del patrimonio culturale dell'Infiorata di Bolsena.

L'intento di questa manifestazione, che l'"Opera dei Fiori" ha saputo individuare e portare avanti con impegno e coraggio, è quello di far incontrare due mondi artistici, quello dell'Infiorata, arte effimera per sua peculiarità, e quello della Fotografia che ne conserva l'unica testimonianza.

The competition, organized in collaboration with the Youth Association "Idea", was also sponsored by the City of Bolsena and the prompt accession of some companies and businesses and local tourist who wished to be present as a sponsor,

>CENTRO GIOVANI QUESTO SCONOSCIUTO – Fra non molto ci saranno dei dubbi anche sulla sua reale esistenza: il Centro Giovani ha tutte le carte in regola per diventare un nuovo animale mitologico.

Nato zoppo sotto l'ala protettrice della precedente amministrazione di sinistra e mai sviluppatosi veramente , ora il Centro è tenuto in quarantena dall'attuale giunta azzurroverde.
